How it works

How is the net requirement calculated?

Expected staffing = current FTE + confirmed arrivals − confirmed departures. Net requirement = target FTE − expected staffing. A target of 10, current 8, arrivals 1 and departures 0.5 gives 8.5 expected FTE and a gap of 1.5 FTE.

Does a 1.5 FTE gap automatically mean two hires?

No. The gap describes working-time volume. Full-time hires, part-time hires or changes to existing hours may cover it. Headcount depends on individual employment percentages.

What should I consider for arrivals and departures?

Use the same planning date and full-time reference. Enter only changes confirmed for that date. Uncertain applicants are not confirmed arrivals. Individual qualifications and part-year start dates are not weighted here.
